A high quality MPEG-4 Visual Decoder optimized for Texas Instruments' C64x and C64x+ families of Digital Signal Processors and Digital Media Processors. Ideal for a wide range of applications including: video surveillance, streaming systems, multimedia gateways, head-end video systems, storage and consumer electronics. The Simple Visual Profile provides efficient coding of rectangular video objects.

Features:
   
     ·Compliant with Texas Instruments' eXpressDSP / XDAIS (Algorithm Interoperability Standard). Compliant with Texas Instruments' eXpressDSP Digital Media (xDM) Standard, for TI's C64x+ platform.

   ·Multiple instances allowed.

   ·Supports Simple Profile up to level 5 of the MPEG-4 Part 2 visual standard (ISO/IEC 14496-2).

   ·Supported Bit Rates: up to 8000 kbps.

   ·Supports all the encoding tools included in the Simple Profile of the MPEG-4 Part 2 visual standard.

   ·Image resolutions: QCIF (176x144), SIF (320x240), CIF (352x288), D1 (720x576) or any multiple of 16x16 up to D1 (720x576).
  
   ·Output Decoded Frame Formats: YCbCr 4:2:0, 422 interleaved output chroma format is supported for TI's C64x+ platform.

   ·Post Processing: Deblocking and Deringing filters are implemented allowing different filter modes: only Luminance or Chrominance, or both, only horizontal or vertical filtering or both.

   ·Advanced and Adaptive Resynchronisation process included, which is suitable for error prone environments.

   ·Supports different input buffer bitstream management methods, single linear input buffer, single circular input buffer and two linear input buffers.
