ProdysControl is an application for controlling several PRODYS devices (Pronto2, Pronto3, ProntoNet, PortaNet, ProntoNetLC, Nereus, Nereusone, ProntoNet IP Decoder, Kronos).
ProdysControl works according to client-server architecture.
ProdysControl consists of three different parts: |

·This stores all necessary information for the correct functioning of the Server and the Client.
·Everything at ProdysControl is centralised in the Database. This is why clients should indicate in the LOGIN the Database server they wish to connect to. This allows great flexibility due to the fact that we could have several servers connected to one single Database. Those Clients connected to this Database will be able to clearly monitor/control all devices (the user will see all Server devices connected to this Database). This also enables more Servers to be added to a ProdyControl system, just being necessary to configure the Server (to which the current database will have to be indicated). All clients will have immediate access to the new devices provided by the new Server.
·This is a Windows NT service and it is NOT necessary therefore to have a session open in Windows NT for it can work. |

·This is responsible for communicating with devices.
·It should be installed in the PC with access to the devices.

·ProdysControl user interface.
·Enables several devices to be monitored and/or controlled simultaneously.
·It is communicated with the Database and the devices Server to be controlled.
One or more ProdysControl servers detect the units connected in a network, and one or more ProdysControl clients can communicate with the database and the server(s) for monitoring and configuring the devices.
The communication protocol used in client/server communication is TCP/IP. The system functions on any LAN/MAN/WAN which supports TCP/IP.
ProdysControl is a system which enables great flexibility with respect to possible configurations. Depending on the complexity of the installation, the following configurations can be set up: |
