The MPEG family of Audio Coding products is part of the solutions provided by
Prodys in the fields of Video compression, Audio compression and Communication
technology.
Prodys’ MPEG-4 AAC LD Audio Encoders and Decoders are based on the ISO/IEC MPEG Audio Coding Standard and are compliant with MPEG-4. They are available for the DSP56300™ and TMS320C6000™ families of DSPs from Motorola and Texas Instruments.
MPEG-4 AAC LD audio compression technology provides better compression efficiency than Layer II or Layer III and in addition offers compatibility with other products like multimedia player and audio steaming. It is compatible with MPEG-4 making it available for the integration with video for the creation of multimedia systems.
MPEG-4 AAC Low delay offers a very low delay, making it available for applications that require a low delay audio Codec and excellent audio quality. |

The Codec software allows the following encoding formats:
·MPEG-4 Low Delay AAC Profile Level 1 (ISO/IEC 14496-3).
·FREQUENCY: 48,44.1,32,24,22.05 KHz.
·BITRATE: 8-384 Kbps.
·MODE: Stereo, Joint Stereo, Dual or Mono.
The allowed sampling frequency, bit rate and mode combinations will depend on the imposed restrictions by the MPEG standard. |
