| Prodys has released its v5.8.0 ProntoNet Family firmware version

Prodys have released enhanced firmware for its family of IP codecs. This version [5.8.0] incorporates many important improvements for IP connectivity, such as a FEC (Forward Error Correction) .
We are always thinking of ways that we can make it easier for our customers to configure and use Prodys products. With so many types of network in general use nowadays we have included some important enhancements in our latest firmware release [5.8.0] to help our customers better configure the most important IP parameters to fit their networks specifications. Tokio FM join Prodys IP technology

Hideaki Oda of Tokyo FM Broadcasting Co. shared how ProntoNet backed up a network of 37 stations, without one blip of interruption when his satellite link went down on more than one occasion:
"We use the IP/ATM backbone network via NTT (Nippon Telegraph & Telephone) for our satellite backup. In Japan the humidity is very high in the rainy season, so very frequently, the satellite drops. EuroSport and Prodys IP codecs

EuroSport have recently purchased a quantity of IP/ISDN codecs from Prodys for its audio distribution. Their requirement included ISDN to assure full compatibility with ISDN codecs from several different manufacturers, and IP to transport remote broadcast contribution from outside broadcast events, such as the Olympic Games or for Studio to Studio links. Prodys Nereus and ProntoNet with support for IP & ISDN have been chosen for this purpose...
